Alys Beach asked for a custom design, and I almost said no — until Tiffany at the Alys Shoppe pointed out the town is named for a woman. Then they showed me the place: the courtyards, the "gifts to the street," the windows like little secrets. The finished design is a love letter — the main street in perspective, the Gulf beyond, and a curvy little dancer hidden by the pool.
