Silk rewards a little care with a lot of years. Here's what your CB Grey piece is made of — and how to keep it beautiful.
THE FOUNDING FABRIC
100% Silk Twill
Silk is a natural fiber known for its shine and softness — an incredibly durable, strong material with a beautiful drape and sheen. All of our scarves, minis, and midis are 100% silk twill.
Texture
Incredibly soft with a flattering sheen. It doesn't irritate even sensitive skin — you'll feel like you're hardly wearing anything at all.
Strength
One of the strongest natural fibers: a silk thread is as strong as a steel wire of the same diameter.
TEMPERATURE
Breathable and naturally temperature-regulating — silk helps hold warmth in cold weather and releases excess heat in warm weather.

Silk-Modal Blend
The blend is deliberate. Courtney wanted one piece that could be an evening shawl, an airplane blanket, and a sarong tied at the beach — and pure silk is too precious for that third job. Silk-modal isn't: lightweight, seasonless, impossibly soft, with a drape all its own.
Durable
Tightly woven and resistant to pilling — made for actual use, not just careful occasions.
Breathable
Moisture releases instead of clinging — comfortable from beach heat to over-air-conditioned dinners.
Easygoing
The lightweight weave renders the artwork softer than our pure silk — more watercolor than jewel box. Deliberately dreamy.
Caring for your cb Grey
100% Silk
Leave it to the pros — we highly recommend dry cleaning your silk pieces. If you prefer to wash at home, do so with caution and always by hand.
Silk-Modal
Less delicate than pure silk, but still deserving of care. Hand washing is much kinder to the fabric and print than the machine. Always lay flat to dry.
