Coloring Book

It's no secret that I like to draw. I like it so much that I built an entire business around it. Drawing is good for my soul. It grounds me when things feel chaotic. Drawing or coloring has the ability to relax the fear center of your brain, the amygdala. It induces the same state as meditating by reducing the thoughts of a restless mind. This generates mindfulness and quietness, which allows your mind to rest. I have struggled with anxiety and an ever racing mind for as long as I can remember and sometimes the only thing that can help me is to put down everything and pick up a pen.

Now that I am a mom, it is incredibly important to me to instill a love or at least a curiosity for art in my son. I make it a priority to color with him everyday. And lately, as he works his way through his "terrible twos" (I do not like that phrase FYI - they are not terrible, they are just frustrated) I find myself handing him some crayons and paper whenever he starts to get really worked up or upset over something - and just like his mama, he seems to instantly calm down.

So in an effort to share my love of drawing with you in a more interactive way, I have put together a small coloring book for you. Simply download the PDF, print it out and let your creative juices flow!

I would love to see your amazing work! Share your masterpieces on insta and tag #cbgreyinthewild!
