My mom spent my childhood pulling us out of school to "make memories" — no warning, no vote. It took me years to design her scarf; I froze every time, until one Christmas we finally sat down and made it together. Two giraffes in a Santa Fe sunset: she's the tall one. Hidden beside the little one, where only her people would look: make memories. And huge as the hills: SO IT GOES.
